The governing body of Granville County consists of seven (7) officials, elected from each of seven (7) voting districts within the County.  The Board of Commissioners is responsible for making, and implementing through County Staff, policies which govern the operations of County agencies.  This Board meets on the first and third Monday nights of each month at 7:30 pm.  All meetings are open to the public, and comments from the citizens it serves are always welcomed by the Board of Commissioners.  The Clerk to the County Board can be reached Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm by calling (919) 693-4761.
